Hope productions was officially created in 2011 with the film English Vinglish. Gauri Shinde and R Balki started the company to control production of their own films, besides providing a platform to create and shape original content and launch promising new talent. Soon after, Anil Naidu took over as the Chief Producer partner and Business Head. The single-minded goal is to create high quality content with the highest efficiency possible, without any compromises, with complete transparency. The wealth of experience of the team in the communications business, ensures that Hope Productions can also value add creatively to brands and execute advertising films as more than just film makers.

Dipti is a child of Hope Productions. She has been working with Gauri Shinde as her Chief Creative Assistant for over a decade. Dipti made her debut as an advertising film maker with Hope. Besides being a promising film maker, Dipti is also a passionate animal lover. Her love for dogs slowly but surely drew her to the world of dog training & animal welfare. She recently began a venture- “For the love of Dog”. Soon her love for dogs may meet her love for filmmaking on a screen near you. It’s October 4, 2012. A nervous Gauri Shinde waits in a movie theatre in Goregaon, Mumbai, after the Indian premiere of her directorial debut, English Vinglish.
It was when 2,500 people at the Toronto International Film Festival gave a standing ovation to English Vinglish in 2012 that Gauri Shinde realised that “maybe, I was on to something big”.
